Terms of Use
Terms for using the recreo platform for schools, cafeterias, staff and parents or guardians.
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This translation is provided for convenience only. In case of any discrepancy, the Brazilian Portuguese version prevails.

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the recreo platform, provided by [RAZÃO SOCIAL], registered under CNPJ (Brazilian company ID) no. [CNPJ], with its registered office at [ENDEREÇO DA SEDE] ("recreo", "we", "us").
By submitting the registration, creating an account or using any part of the platform, you represent that you have read and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you accept on behalf of a school or company, you represent that you have the authority to do so.
1. What recreo is
recreo is software as a service (SaaS) for managing school cafeterias. It brings together a self-service kiosk, point of sale (POS), kitchen display, pickup TV, management (catalog, stock, cash register, reports, users and audit logs) and the parents' app, with prepaid balance, Pix top-ups (Brazil's instant payment system) and allergy and restriction control.
2. Registration and approval
The school registers on the recreo website with the institution's CNPJ and the details of a contact person. Every registration is reviewed before access is granted.
We may request additional information and reject registrations with incorrect or incomplete data, or data inconsistent with these Terms. Once the registration is approved, we create the organization, school and cafeteria on the platform and send the contact person an email for first access.
You warrant that the information submitted is true and undertake to keep it up to date.
3. Accounts and security
Each person uses their own account. Staff sign in via a link sent by email or with Google, with two-step verification when configured. Kiosks, POS terminals and TVs are paired as cafeteria devices.
The school is responsible for who is granted access, for the roles assigned (administration, management, cashier, kitchen) and for removing access for anyone who leaves the team. Notify us immediately at [E-MAIL DE CONTATO] if you suspect misuse.
4. Plans, pricing and payment
The plan is determined by the school's number of students:
- Monthly: schools with up to 300 students pay R$199.90 per month, per school.
- Per transaction: schools with more than 300 students pay no monthly fee; we charge 2% of the value of each transaction processed through the platform.
If the number of students moves into a different tier, the corresponding plan applies from the next billing cycle. Applicable taxes may be added as required by law.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' prior notice by email. Non-payment may, after notice, result in suspension of access until the account is brought up to date.
Fees charged by payment institutions (for example, on Pix and card payments) are governed by the school's contract with the respective provider and are not included in the recreo price.
5. School responsibilities
By using recreo, the school undertakes to:
- Register students, parents or guardians and staff on an appropriate legal basis and inform families about the use of the platform, in accordance with the LGPD (Brazil's General Data Protection Law).
- Keep the menu, prices, allergens of each product and stock information accurate.
- Check orders and deliveries and follow good food safety practices.
- Use the platform lawfully, without attempting to circumvent access controls, test for vulnerabilities without authorization or overload the service.
Allergy and restriction control is a support tool: blocking depends on product allergens and student restrictions being registered correctly. It does not replace the attention of the cafeteria staff or medical and nutritional advice.
6. Parents, guardians and students
Parents and guardians use the app to track balance and spending, top up via Pix, register allergies and restrictions and schedule orders. Credits topped up belong to the relationship between the parent or guardian and the school cafeteria; payment reversal and refund requests follow the rules of the cafeteria and of the payment provider.
Underage students use the kiosk and the POS under the school's supervision, and their data is processed in their best interest, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep the platform available and secure, but interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or causes beyond our control (such as internet, power or provider outages). Whenever possible, we give advance notice of scheduled maintenance.
Support is provided through the channels indicated on the platform and by email at [E-MAIL DE CONTATO].
8. Intellectual property
The software, the recreo brand, the design and the documentation belong to [RAZÃO SOCIAL]. We grant the school a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform, valid for the duration of the subscription.
The data entered by the school, its brand, menu photos and other content remain the school's property. You authorize us to use them solely to provide the service.
9. Suspension and termination
The school may terminate the subscription at any time through the support channels; the monthly plan remains valid until the end of the cycle already paid.
We may suspend or terminate access in the event of a breach of these Terms, fraud, a risk to the security of other users or non-payment, with prior notice whenever possible.
After termination, the school may request an export of its data within 30 days. After that period, the data is deleted or anonymized, except for data we must retain under a legal obligation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, recreo is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or losses arising from incorrect information registered by the school or by parents or guardians, from misuse of accounts, or from failures of third-party services, such as payment and internet providers.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived by law, including those provided for in the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Brazil's Consumer Protection Code), where applicable.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the product or in the law. Material changes will be communicated by email or on the platform with reasonable advance notice. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of the comarca (judicial district) of [COMARCA] are chosen to resolve any disputes, unless otherwise provided by law.
